i went downstairs carrying the object i had hidden in my room the previous day, placed it in front of the front door, found my mother and put a black t-shirt over her face (as an object perceiving deterrent, guantanamo inmate style). i then took her by the hand and led her five foot two inches of giggling mass to her new, first bicycle. she had bought me my first bicycle so it was only fair i did the same.

you were so pretty this morning

i watched the red moon fall and the sunrise from my pacific amphitheatre.
